Description

Model history

The Fiat Dino is a pure Italian sports car produced between 1966 and 1973. Two body designs were made and manufactured for Fiat: the Spider by Pininfarina and the Coupe by Bertone. The Fiat Dino Spider was introduced at the Turin Motor Show in 1966 and was first offered with a 2.0 litre V6 - the same 2.0 litre was used in the Ferrari Dino 206 GT. From 1969 the Fiat Dino used a 2.4 litre V6.

Every detail in the Fiat Dino is designed to satisfy the driver’s needs and to meet the absolute standards of controllability essential for sports car driving. Very much a sports car, the Dino boasted a soft, compact yet distinctly line pointed up by the sharply modelled mudguards that help to balance the volumes. The nose features a small grille incorporating four headlights and the typical Pininfarina motif runs along the sides. The rear section features a cut-off tail holding the light clusters.

The wild and highly sophisticated engine is a work of art in itself: it achieves even greater significance in that is integrated in a vehicle configuration whose superiority has been confirmed in racing.

The Fiat Dino spider is simply a fascinating automobile.

This example

This Fiat Dino Spider 2.0 from 1968 is considered by many as the purest and most desirable version of the Fiat Dino. This car was imported into Holland in 1977 and had only 1 owner until 2013 when the current enthusiast bought it.

She has been lovingly maintained as one of the loved centerpieces in the owners collection next to Alfa 6C 2500 SS and several Ferrari’s and Maserati’s. In total the current owner spent more than 37.000 Euro on the car to make and keep her in good shape. The result is very good indeed as it is really lovely and a wonderfully running and driving example. The structure is excellent as is the panel fit.

The car has been resprayed at a good shop some 10 years ago. The owner did not like the black vinyl interior so had it retrimmed in beige leather. The engine was rebuilt in 2013 and has been well maintained at specialists and the car is a joy to drive. The hood and cover have recently been replaced.

The car comes with several invoices and is complete with the original instruction manual.

Price is 116.000,- Euro. Do ask for our walk around video or more pictures as required.

Only 2 owners since 1977. The car is Dutch (EEC) registered with APK (MOT/TUV/CT).
