Description

1971 Fiat 500 L Saloon
Chassis no. 2897732

This beautifully presented Fiat 500 L has been comprehensively restored by a professional restorer near Rome, Affari Sbullonati, who specialises in the restoration of the immortal FIAT 500. According to the vendor, the restoration has only just been finished and the car has not been used since. Works carried out include comprehensively restoring the body, either repairing or replacing rusty panels where necessary. Upon completion of the repairs, the body was professionally re-sprayed in the original FIAT colour Giallo Positano (Positano Yellow, FIAT code 208) which is complemented by a black vinyl interior. We are informed that the following parts have been replaced with new items: all external chrome trim; rubber body seals; plastic trim; lamps and glass; and the opening roof. The interior has been re-trimmed by a local specialist in the correct black vinyl, and we are told that the steering wheel and dashboard are in excellent condition and the instruments in working order. According to the vendor, the engine has been overhauled and still requires running-in by the fortunate new owner. The vendor further informs us that the wheels are in excellent condition and shod with new tyres, and that the braking system has been overhauled also.

Following the restoration's completion the FIAT passed the Italian Revisione (the equivalent of the MoT in the UK, TüV in Germany, Contrôle Technique in France, etc) which is valid for two years. The car is being offered with Italian registration documents and photographic documentation of the restoration.
