The Fiat 500 Mare is one of many transformations that the Fiat 500 has enjoyed during its long career. According to the owner, the example on offer was created by Carrozzeria Holiday, a coachbuilder based in Turin that still carries out this type of modification today. The design of the Mare follows in the tradition of the Jolly by Ghia, and offers the same attractions but without being as expensive as its cousin. The car we are presenting features cut-away openings, the doors replaced with simple straps, and wicker seats that add to the car's rather eccentric character. The seats are new, as the car was restored in 2014, during which time the engine was equipped with an Abarth cylinder head and lower engine case. The brakes were also refurbished and it has a new exhaust.
The car comes with its Italian libretto and has the original Turin registration number plate. Here is a fun and unusual car, that is ideal to use in fine weather for a trip to the beach, as it's name - sea in Italian - suggests.
