The 1100 lineage is without doubt one that has been able to give more lustre to Fiat production both before and after the war. Initially produced since 1939, the Turin middle-class saloon was completely renewed in 1953, when the 103 was presented. Compared to the previous model, the new 1100 was characterised by the self-supporting frame, the three-volume bodywork and the auxiliary frame that supported the engine/gearbox group where the front suspension group was bolted. The engine, strictly derived from the previous series, was a sturdy and reliable in-line 4 cylinder 1098cc engine. The car's layout for the rest was traditional: rear-wheel drive, independent wheels with transverse leaf spring at the front and rigid bridge at the rear. Spacious, comfortable and with a decent level of comfort, the 1100 was one of the most prominent Italian cars in the 1950s.

This 1958 model is offered here from a private collection and still has its original and preserved interior. Delivered new to its first owner in Ovada and registered in August 1959, it has undergone body restoration work and a meticulous restoration of its originality by its current owner. The car, which still has its original plates from the province of Alessandria, is a perfect opportunity to buy a usable car and always appreciated at every event of historic cars.
