The Ferrari 488 replaced the 458 and is the first mid-engined Ferrari to use a turbocharged V8 since the legendary F40.

The car is powered by a 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, smaller in displacement but generating a higher power output than the 458’s naturally aspirated engine. Powered by a 3,902 cc (488 cc per cylinder, thus the name) all-aluminium dry sump engine producing 661bhp. The transmission for the 488 is a dual clutch 7-speed F1 gearbox. Improved carbon-ceramic brakes are used on the 488, derived from technology used in the LaFerrari, constructed with new materials that reduce the time needed to achieve optimum operating temperature.

Performance is breath-taking with a claimed 0-62 mph of just 3.0 seconds and onto a top speed of 205 mph.
