EXTERIOR
Showing in a classic combination of Rosso with tan leather, this 365 GTB/4 is classic Ferrari at its absolute best. From the simplicity of its long sweeping body to the intricacy of its chromework and every so slightly convex rear end. Each detail of the Daytona is perfectly executed to create one of the most iconic forms ever to roll off the Maranello production line.

Originally a RHD Coupe this example was converted, by known specialists Foskers, to create a stunning Spyder bodied car. With its steeply raked windscreen, contrasting tan tonneau cover and purposeful GT car proportions the topless style of the Daytona is truly incredible.

Overall the car presents with a deep shine and vibrant colour, free from any signs of corrosion throughout the bodywork, whilst the black soft-top sits free from any holes or tears.

INTERIOR
Perfectly contrasting the Rosso coachwork, the 365’s tan interior is a simple but stunning space, filled with classic Ferrari design ques. Deeply bolstered sports seats feature the iconic Daytona detailing, with perforated black leather strips running through their centres, whilst ahead of the driver a thin rimmed leather steering wheel and long, rounded gearstick provide a suitable dose of 70s Italian charm. Peering through the steering wheel is the intricate instrument cluster, featuring a large offset rev dial and speedometer which reads all the way up to what must have been a dizzying 180 mph at the time.

Continuing the colour-scheme red Willians harnesses provide some modern security for both driver and passenger, whilst mounted in the centre tunnel is an upgraded Alpine head unit which features a CD player and Bluetooth for some 21st century entertainment on the go.

Overall condition of the interior is good, with nothing more than some minor creasing of the seats to note the leather sits free from any unsightly stains or tears whilst the dash shows without any cracks.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Featuring a 4,390cc Columbo V12 with an output of 347bhp its no wonder the Ferrari Daytona was billed the fastest car in the world upon its launch, managing 0-60mph in just 5.4 seconds and going onto a top speed of 174mph it was streaks ahead of anything else to come out of the 1970s.

Featuring 6 sets of Twin-Weber carburettors and a rear mounted 5-speed gearbox the performance of the Daytona really does stack up to its looks, with the transaxle layout providing optimum weight distribution to fully exploit the immense V12. Crossing the line between GT and supercar the Daytona is a superb drivers car, and with the roof down it becomes a truly enthralling experience, as the sonorous V12 howl to engulfs the interior all the way up to 7,000rpm redline.

Mechanically the car appears to be in good order, spending most of its recent life in storage with regular maintenance from renowned specialists Rardleys.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Completing the period styling of the Daytona are a set of 15″ chrome wire alloys and knock-on centre caps embellished with the legendary prancing horse. Each corner is wrapped in matching, period correct Michelin XWX rubber, with ample tread remaining all round.

Adding to the supercar feel of the Daytona independent suspension and disc brakes all around provide a surprisingly stable and controlled ride, especially when considering the car is approaching 50 years old.

HISTORY FILE
First registered on 01/06/1971 this stunning Ferrari 365 GTB/4 was one of just 156 UK supplied coupes with just 6 owners over the past 50 years. The car was commissioned to be converted to a Spyder body by the 4th owner, Bernard Fosker, at renowned specialists Foskers Ferrari who completed the work to an extremely high standard. The car then changed hands before being purchased by the current owner in 2005.

Maintenance from 2006 onwards has been taken care of by Ferrari specialists Rardleys, with over £20k of invoices outlining numerous parts and servicing the car has been subject to. Mileage from both MOT’s and service invoices shows the car has covered less than 2k miles in its current 16 year ownership.

Present with the car is the recent history, MOT certificates, and V5.
