Description

GENERAL

Introduced in 1999 as the successor to the 355, the Ferrari 360 was named after it’s F131B 3.6L flat plane crank V8. The launch of this model marked a new era for Ferrari, as it was their first monocoque that completely made out of aluminium. Two body styles were offered: the closed Modena and the open top Spider. The vehicle presented here is a Modena coupe delivered new in Germany on 04/05/2000 by Ferrari Auto Neuser in Nurnberg.

EXTERIOR

The exterior of the car is still showing very nicely. No or very few stone chips can be detected.

We measured the paint thickness and found a uniform reading between 120µ en 140µ, which indicates that the car probably still has its factory applied paint.

The wheels are not showing any curb damage and are fitted with nearly new Pirelli tires.

A Challenge grille is fitted between the tail lights, giving the car a more ‘sporty’ look. Many more exterior pictures can be seen in the gallery at the bottom of this page.

INTERIOR

The beige leather interior is in near perfect condition and is showing little or no signs of wear.

The dashboard, door panels and carpets have been kept very clean throughout this 360 Modena’s life and show no signs of discolouring.
All buttons and instruments are fully functional. Rather surprisingly, the plastic covering the instruments hasn’t become sticky, as is the case with most Ferrari’s of this era.

ENGINE

The F131B 90° V8 in this 360 has a 85mm bore and 79 mm stroke, produces 400hp at 8500 rpm and 372 Nm of torque @ 4.750 rpm.
It can propel its most thrill-seeking drivers from 0-100 kph in 4.3 seconds and from standstill to 160 kph in a mere 9 seconds, reaching a top speed of 295 kph.

The engine starts right up and runs smoothly. It drives, shifts and brakes exactly as it should.

BODY

Looking at the underside, we found a very clean car.

PAPER TRAIL

The car comes with its original German registration documents. The Ferrari-made leather binder with original manuals and booklets is present, as is the complete original Schedoni toolkit.

Several invoices of carried-out maintenance in the last few years are also present.
