Named after the town where company founder Enzo Ferrari was born, the 360 Modena was the first production Ferrari constructed entirely of aluminum. The chassis and bodyshell were made from the lightweight material through a partnership with Alcoa. The result was a structure 40% stiffer yet 28% lighter than that of the previous F355, despite a 10% increase in overall dimensions. The car entered production in 1999 and was manufactured until 2005.

The 360 Modena was the 163rd Ferrari to be designed by Pininfarina and combined elements of classic Ferraris, such as the 268SP, 250LM, and Dino. It was also the first modern Ferrari to show its longitudinally mounted 3.6-liter V-8 engine under a glass cover, a feature that carries over to current models.

This example was manufactured in January of 2000 and delivered new to Canada. It was first registered in Ontario in March of that year. The car is remarkable not only for its uncommon color of Giollo Modena—which carries through to the interior in the form of contrast trim in the Daytona-style black leather seats—but also for how little it has been driven. As of cataloguing time, the odometer showed just under 3,300 kilometers.

The car is equipped with the F1 six-speed automated manual transmission with paddle shifters. It rides on factory, 18-inch, five-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires and retains its factory stereo, tool kit, and manuals with a leather case.

Included invoices from Ferrari Maserati of Ontario indicate that a timing belt service, including replacing all belts and fluids, was completed in August of 2018 with 2,975 kilometers logged on the odometer. At this time, the brake calipers were also rebuilt, and a new fluid reservoir and brake lines were installed. In addition, the engine mounts were replaced, as was the battery and the hydraulic pump, fuse, and relay for the F1 transmission. New Pirelli P Zero tires were mounted, and a four-wheel alignment was performed. The work, which also included refinishing certain interior trim pieces, totaled more than $26,000 CDN.
