The Ferrari 308 GTB made it first appearance at the 61st Salon de L’Automobile in Paris in 1975, replacing the Dino 246 GT as Maranello’s mid-engine sports car offering. It was an instant hit, with an irresistible combination of flowing bodywork penned by Leonardo Fioravanti of Pininfarina, and approachable performance thanks to a low kerb weight and punchy V-8 engine. Power was delivered by the all-new 237-horsepower F106AB V-8 engine, featuring dual belt-driven overhead camshafts for each bank, four twin-choke Weber 40DCNF carburettors, and a dry sump lubrication system.

Manufactured in May 1978, this Ferrari 308 GTB is one of Scaglietti’s steel-bodied examples. Chassis number 24463 left the factory finished in Blu Sera with Crema upholstery, while its exterior colour is now red. The car is understood to have been supplied to its first owner in France, who kept the car for 25 years, the next owner retained the Ferrari for 17 years, then Monsieur Petitjean acquired it in 2020, having undergone €22,000-worth of recommissioning work around the same time. Remarkably, the roof bears the signature of the legendary Scuderia Ferrari driver, Michael Schumacher. According to the consignor, the car was signed while Schumacher was on his way to a helipad to travel to the Monaco Grand Prix, as confirmed in writing by a policeman in charge of Scumacher's security.

Cette Ferrari 308 GTB est apparue pour la première fois en 1975 au 61e Salon de l’Automobile de Paris comme remplaçante de la Dino 246 GT dans la catégorie des sportives à moteur central de Maranello. Elle connut un succès immédiat grâce à la combinaison séduisante d'une carrosserie très bien profilée dessinée par Leonardo Fioravanti, alors chez Pininfarina, et de performances exceptionnelles dues à son poids minimal et à son brillant moteur V8. Sa puissance était fournie par le tout nouveau moteur V8 F106 AB de 237 ch coiffé par deux arbres à cames en tête par banc de cylindres entraînés par courroies crantées, alimenté par quatre carburateurs double corps Weber 40 DCNF et graissé par un système à carter sec.

Fabriquée en mai 1978, cette Ferrari 308 GTB fait partie des voitures carrossées en acier par Scaglietti. La voiture châssis n° 24463 livrée neuve de couleur Blu Sera avec sellerie crème est actuellement peinte en rouge. Cette 308 aurait été livrée en France à son premier propriétaire qui la conserva pendant 25 ans, le propriétaire suivant pendant 17 ans, avant qu’elle ne soit achetée en 2020 par M. Petitjean après avoir bénéficié de travaux de remise en état pour un montant de 22 000 €. Fait exceptionnel, le toit porte la signature autographe du légendaire pilote de la Scuderia Ferrari, Michael Schumacher. Selon le vendeur, la voiture a été signée par Schumacher alors qu’il était sur la route d’un héliport pour se rendre au Grand Prix de Monaco, comme confirmé par une attestation d'un policier chargé de sa sécurité.
