Like on all our vehicles, this 246GT has had the following work performed, after careful and scrupulous checks by our mechanics:
* A complete service was performed, with the oil changed, oil, fuel and air filters replaced, new spark plugs, coolant, brake fluid and differential oil changed.
* The carburettors were overhauled.
* The fuel and coolant lines were checked, cleaned and replaced where necessary.
* Fuel pump and coolant pump replaced.
* Battery changed
* Brake system and suspension checked.

Produced as an update to the earlier 206 differing in a number of aspects including the more powerful engine (2.4 L compared to the earlier 2.0 L) and the bodywork (first in aluminium and later in sheet metal). The bodywork was created by Pininfarina designer Aldo Brovarone, while the engine was a derivation of the last racing power unit designed by Enzo Ferrari’s son Alfredo (nicknamed Dino), who died at a young age in 1956.
This is why Enzo Ferrari decided to name the marque “Dino”.
It is a 65° transverse V6, the first of this type of engine used by the Maranello-based Manufacturer, which had previously always favoured 12-cylinder lumps. For this reason it was considered a sort of “lesser” Ferrari, but its performance and handling were comparable with models with fractional engines, and it was a success with customers, leading to 2487 being built. The Dino became famous with time, thanks to its unmistakeable and timeless lines, which today make it a particularly popular choice with collectors.
