- A unique opportunity
- One of the world´s rarest small trucks
- A stunning look
- No reserve
After the war the DKW plant was moved from Chemnitz to Ingolstadt where they started the production of a small transporter as their first post war project. DKW had a restricted budget and therefore the little transporter had very little designer input and was mostly an engineer design. Purely by coincidence this little truck got an amazing little "face" and with today´s eyes it looks like it comes straight out of a comic book and makes people smile everywhere. DKW could not compete against VW and only 3,727 vans and pick-ups were produced and only very few remain today.
This one was found on a scrapheap in northern Sweden and has been meticulously restored with over 2000 hours work over 2 years. The van has been featured in the Swedish classic car magazine "Klassiker". This is the first time in Europe that a "Schnellaster" is offered at auction. This opportunity will for sure not come back and presents a rare opportunity for the collector who wants something special that no-one else has in their collection.
