Description

Model year: 2021
Registration number: DR-51-52

This unique car was the product of two worlds colliding in the early 70’s. It was when Citroen owned Maserati for a short time. The Sm has a French design and an Italian engine and was in production form 1970 to 1975. As only 100 were built it was rarely seen in Holland. Our SM was supplied in the States in February 1972 and was fitted with an 180 Hp 3 litre injection Maserati engine. It has a Gris Nacre finish and is a manual. Even today the SM still impresses as standing out from the crowd, back then it was certainly well ahead of its time! Back then it has disc brakes on all fours, speed adaptive power steering called DIRAVI and of course the famous hydro-pneumatic suspension! Our SM is a pretty picture and arrived in the Netherlands in1997. This car has never needed to be fully restored. Thanks to a dry American climate this SM is still rust-free with an interior to fall in love with. We are certainly talking about an exceptionally gorgeous condition here! A few years ago this SM was thoroughly mechanically overhauled with particular attention to the brakes and hydro-pneumatic suspension replacement suspension balls and height regulators as well a new tyres. We were lucky to acquire this SM in part exchange. The car runs, handles and shifts perfectly and in truth will only need a service as it has not been used as much recently. Who will take this marvellous SM back on the road again? Viva la France et Forza Italia! THIS VEHICLE IS IN OUR STORAGE, VIEWING BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
