- Nice original presentation
- Avant-garde car
- In the same family for 40 years !
For Citroën, the SM is special, and its originality remains of great interest. Combining a sporting style with the manufacturer's avant-garde technology, it offered handling that did not sacrifice comfort. With a 170 bhp V6 engine, designed by Maserati, it was capable of travelling safely at speeds of up to 170 km/h.
The SM on offer was sold new to a Citroën enthusiast, living in Aurillac, in February 1972. It has been conserved in the same family until 2012. To maintain the car in good and safe condition, some work was carried out in 1982: the brake pads and universal joints were replaced, the air conditioning was serviced and it was given new tyres. This Citroën has covered 127,000 km from new and has its service book. Before being put on the road at the beginning of 2010s, after several years of sleep. the battery was changed, as well as the plugs and alternator. The paintwork was also refreshed. Today this car belong to Artcurial Briest F. Tajan Poulain. A service has been done in June 2013 by the Garage de La Poste, in Le Vésinet: alternator changed, oil change, high pressure hoses changed... In very nice original condition, with brown leather upholstery and metallic grey paintwork, this SM offers a rare opportunity to slide into the plush interior of an avant-garde model.
