This version of the famous Citroën estate featured the redesigned front, which was more aerodynamic, and which integrated four covered headlamps that automatically stay level depending on the position of the car. In addition, another innovation of the model from 1968 on was the two inner headlamps that swiveled as per the steering movements. Its inline four-cylinder engine of 2175cc developing 106bhp at 5500rpm brought the car to a top speed of 170 km/h. With its outstanding features, the DS estate was widely used by many professions and everyone, of course, remembers the DS estate ambulance.
The car on offer comes from Italy. It underwent a beautiful restoration in 2008, done by the owner who was the Citroën dealer at Creazzo, a charming village near Veneto. At his death, his collection was sold, this is when the current owner acquired it. This estate has covered little mileage since its restoration. The interior is original and in perfect condition, with a fabric upholstery in camel shade. The electrical system and gauges on the dashboard have been checked and they work perfectly. This version has two sought after options: power steering and a hydraulic brake pedal, making the car very comfortable to drive. The car has its Italian technical inspection and has been recently inspected by a brand specialist . This DS is ready to travel any distance.
