This 2 CV is quite particular as it has only covered 6 949km since new at the time of cataloguing, accumulated in the streets of Monaco. Presented in a condition close to new, this 2CV is a window into the past, allowing its next owner to get a real taste of what an off-the-line 2CV would have been like in period. With its red paint and black interior, this 2CV is even more so unique since it is a 2CV4 model, taking on numerous enhancements over its previous relatives. Its motor, enlarged to 435cm3 with 24hp from a mere 16hp in the original car is also equipped with a conventional ignition system, alternator, and extended exhaust. Inside the dashboard is more modern than typical 2CV models, there is a plastic steering wheel, larger speedometer, more efficient heating system, moving front seats, locking steering column with ignition key, three point seat belts, and finally the addition of indicators on the fenders. With the cars modern enhancements Citroën was able to reintroduce the 2CV into the modern world. This exceptional example from a renowned Citroën collection will contribute to that exact effort.
