The Chevrolet Impala, built by Chevrolet, part of General Motors, was first presented to the public in 1958. In 1960 this 2nd generation example was registered for the first time. This coupe came with the most powerful engine available at the time, the 348 cu in (5.7 L) W-series Turbo Thrust V8.
The bodywork was built by the famous coach builder Fisher, which formed part of the GM group. This car has had Dutch registration for several years now. The Impala has never needed a full restoration, with only a re-spray and some body repair being necessary. The interior looks very well cared-for with the correct amount of patina. The car maintenance and servicing has been carried out with the right frequency and is up-to-date, the engine has recently been completely overhauled. The engine performs its job with great ease, drives smoothly and very comfortably, partly thanks to power steering.This example is of course completely rust-free. For the American market perhaps a familiar occurrence, in Europe however this is not a sight we often see, and certainly not in an unrestored car with this level of original detail.
