This beautiful Californian example of the classic’ sixth-generation 1959 62’ series Cadillac falls nothing short of immaculate. Originally imported to Australia in the 1995, it has undergone a full mechanical and cosmetic restoration and presents today as a trophy among all remaining examples.

This pristine example received a 4500-hour, total body off, nut and bolt restoration over a period of 9 years. With every detail done to perfection, it was finished to the exact specifications and colour scheme as to when it rolled off the showroom floor in 1959. A few personal touches to the vehicle included an artistic gold anodized grilled finished in 22 carat gold plating, a removable centre drink & sound system console and lastly the decision to convert the vehicle to a RHD configuration for full Australian registration in 1995.

The conversion was an engineered cross-over which meant no alteration to the engine bay, retaining the factory geometry. To top off this meticulous restoration, this example was fitted with new old stock parts sourced from America and custom badging to re-create the picture-perfect, staple car of the 60s.

Taking home the ‘Melbourne Motorclassica’ trophy in 2014, this 59 Cadillac is well known to collectors and enthusiasts. The cornerstone to any car collection, these 62 cabriolets are arguably one of the most iconic collectibles of their era.
