Description

Bristol 408 Saloon built in 1963. This specimen was purchased a few years ago by renowned Aston Martin specialist Desmond J Smail from the first owner. The 408 was introduced in 1963 and was the new characteristic model that remained recognizable up to and including the Bristol 411 Series 3 in 1972. Exclusive, sporty and yet a distinguished gentleman’s coupe, that's a Bristol! The striking rectangular grille, straight wing lines and oval tail lights, beautiful. Of the 408, only 83 were produced in four years. At the time, the Bristol cost a fortune and could compete with Rolls-Royce and Bentley. Truly a rare car, certainly in this sublime original condition. This car has driven 72,000 miles and has never been restored. The bodywork is completely bare and professionally sprayed. The body is beautiful, has sleek sheet metal and beautiful paint. The underside is flawless, completely original and completely rust-free. The interior is original and has a fantastic patina. Equipped with a 250 hp 5.2 V8 from Chrysler, combined with a 3-speed "push button" automatic transmission. Drives fantastic. To get a good impression of the car we advise you to come to one of the viewing days.
