This pristine example of a factory XP-5 BOCAR features a 383 Cubic Inch high-performance Corvette/Stroker motor. The car currently runs on VP 116 Octane fuel, with a 12:1 compression ratio, a custom ground camshaft, and produces 400+ high revving horsepower. This car is capable of comfortable highway cruising speeds and a top speed of 145+ MPH.

Stopping power is attributed to a completely custom Wilwood Disc Brake racing setup. This non-vacuum assisted setup includes, Wilwood red calipers, braided stainless intermediate lines, and steel tube main lines. This XP-5 retains the factory Bocar chassis, original Porsche front end and torsion style suspension components. It currently sits on custom Halibrand 17” wheels with high-performance tires.

Other notable features include a period correct 4-speed manual gearbox, Be-Cool custom cooling system, ATL custom fuel cell, custom fuel delivery system, and high-performance clutch. These tasteful custom modifications were installed for vintage rally and race driving use. This car is eligible for almost all vintage events, has won multiple concours awards, and has appeared in the Colorado Grand multiple years.

Included in the sale are the original hood, borrani aluminum wire wheels, and period correct 283 cubic inch engine. A few photos have been added while on display at The Bridge event in Bridgehampton, NY.

Ownership History:

The owner lineage and this XP-5's whereabouts are rock solid. This XP-5 Bocar was sold new from factory, and has utilized a state VIN since 1959. Most notably, this vehicle was even featured in the Blackhawk Collection.?
