In 1946, the Mk VI was the first Bentley to be offered in finished form, with the steel body assembled and finished at the factory. The Mk VI could also be entrusted to other coachbuilders who each designed individual bodies, as commissioned by clients. These were therefore extremely exclusive cars, as is the case with the example on offer, built by Hooper. It bears the characteristic style of this craftsman, who only built cars for the most esteemed clients. With streamlined rear wings, the fluid lines of the car evoke a sense of speed, accentuated by the delicately curved side windows. A particular feature of this car, also seen on other models by this coachbuilder, is the slightly convex windscreen.
