Description
"The Austin Healey 3000 Mk. I four-seater was a sports car produced between 1959 and 1961. This version of the popular sports car featured four seats, making it a practical option for families and those who wanted to enjoy the open road with friends. Under the hood, the Austin Healey 3000 Mk. I four-seater featured a 2.9 litre straight-six engine capable of producing up to 124 horsepower, which was mated to a four-speed manual transmission. This engine allowed the car to accelerate from 0-60mph in just 11.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 112mph.
This beautiful Austin Healey was built in August 1960 and despatched to Bournemouth Imperial Motors a month later. The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certified copy of the factory records is present and shows that the car features a heater and the ever-desirable overdrive. The file for this car contains various bills, receipts and details of earlier works. More recently this car has benefitted from a no expense spared restoration by marque specialist Gerald ‘Jeggs’ Stephenson. His 40 plus years of experience with Healeys is obvious to see in this immaculate example. HSV 925 presents impeccably in Healey Blue with Ivory white coachwork and a blue interior and features subtle upgrades to the braking system, a stainless steel exhaust and electronic ignition. The engine was overhauled and balanced at Richard Parker race engines and features a performance camshaft. This is possibly the finest example of a Mk. I available in the market today.
