Hopefully, you are not a shy person. You are warned: with this Audi R8 Spyder V10, you will attract a lot of attention. Not only because of the extremely striking and still ultra-modern-looking design of the ultra-low two-seater, but mainly because of the ear-pleasing sound that the mid-V10-engine produces. When started, it gives a deafening roar. When stationary, itbooms like a healthy heartbeat. When it turns to the middle rev range at partial load, it reverberates through your skull. And when it’s haunted to Code Red on the rev counter, a tear spills spontaneously down your cheek. The exotic V10 engine of the Audi R8 evokes such emotions. And what kind of an engine it is: without the artificial respiration of a turbo, the 5.2-liter ten-cylinder achieves 525 bhp of power. The R8 Spyder V10 accelerates to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, and what follows next is all the more impressive. An automatic six-speed transmission is coupled to the V10, which sends all forces neatly dosed to both the front and rear wheels. With the emphasis to the rear wheels, because not every Audi with quattro drive is geared to equality front and rear. The Audi R8 also ignores the gentlemen's agreement that the German car manufacturers have concluded to keep the maximum speed on the unlimited Autobahn somewhat in line. Instead of an electronically regulated top speed of 250 km/h, this Audi R8 Spyder V10 dives into the wake of extreme supercars such as the Ferrari 458 Spider and the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, with a top speed of no less than 313 km/h!

On the track, the Audi R8 Spyder V10 can compete with the Premier League of the sports car segment, thanks to its hot-tempered V10 engine and superb quattro drive. But the R8 has more good qualities: it knows how to behave in normal traffic, too. A bit like the Porsche 911, but then in an out-of-the-ordinary category.

It was ordered in 2010 by a German buyer, who had the car equipped with a carbon package for the interior, an high-end audio system with Bang & Olufsen speakers, and carbon-ceramic brake discs. This car also offers the convenience of a reversing camera. A special collector's item is the (complete) Audi R8 Set 'Kaleidoscopic Vision of a Car' by Karl Lagerfeld, in which the Audi R8 is photographed at its best. The chrome-plated R8 scale model that accompanies the set is still present.

In 2012, the R8 V10 Spyder got its Dutch ID, when it was bought by a very well-known Dutch celebrity. In its twelve years of existence, the Audi has driven only 97,000 kilometers. The mechanics are in a very healthy condition, the car has always been maintained according to the books and the black paint and black leather interior were always excellently cared for. A car in ‘as new’ condition.
