- Improved, reliable engine
- Wonderfully preserved car
- High performance, added attraction of cabriolet body
- Engine completely rebuilt by Aston Engineering

Sold new in the United States, this car was imported into Germany in the mid 2000s by an enthusiast who had the body restored in Hamburg. The current owner, a Parisian collector of GTs, was seduced by this superb motor car in 2005. In 2009 he asked Aston Engineering to upgrade the specification in line with the X-pack version, which included completely overhauling the engine to make it much more efficient. The work, totalling £30 000, included high compression pistons, special overhead cams, electronic control unit, new exhaust manifolds and an upgraded oil cooler, the axel ratio was also revised to be longer than the original. The running gear was refurbished, Koni shock absorbers added and the four wheels are new. Inside, the air-conditioning has been renewed. Bench tests have established that the car produces close to 340 bhp. The speedometer is graduated up to 300 km/h, giving some idea of the sheer power of the engine and the amazing performance this car is capable of. Since this work was carried out, it has covered 15 000 km and is presented in a wonderfully preserved condition, with an immaculate passenger compartment.
