After the initial hype caused by the launch of the new V8 Vantage coupe, it was only a matter of time before Aston Martin presented a convertible version.
Thus it was that at the 2006 Los Angeles Auto Show, the new Vantage V8 Roadster was showed.
Aston Martin's GTs have always stood the test of time and the Vantage is certainly among the most iconic of the brand. The elegance of the Aston Martin design, the formidable sound of the engine and the excellence of British luxury, placed the Vantage among the most admired cars of the decade.
Aston Martin reintroduced the Vantage name in an attempt to revive the legendary model and its commercial success was confirmed by the 15 restylings made to the car over the years.
Among the strengths of the model, the car's low center of gravity and the engine with race-style dry sump lubrication system, which allowed the car to achieve a weight distribution close to 50/50 between front and rear.
