Description

"After spearheading the Aston Martin V8's transformation for the 1990s, the Virage name was dropped during 1994, its place as the 'standard' model being taken by a Vantage-style V8 Coupé. Introduced at the Geneva Salon in March 1996, the new V8 Coupé adopted all of the Vantage's muscular styling cues but retained the normally aspirated 5.3 litre engine of the Virage and delivered similar performance. The model formed part of the Aston Martin range for just three years and is one of the rarer members of the modern V8 family.
This handsome automatic Aston Martin V8 Coupé was registered in November 1999. The franchise dealer invoice at that time shows a purchase price in excess of £163,000. Although estimated at a considerably lower figure, this glorious Aston still presents extremely well in Mendip Blue with a grey leather/Alcantara trim and carbon fibre dashboard. The looks of this rare car are complemented by Dynamic road wheels, a manual overdrive modification and a sports exhaust. The chassis number shows that this powerful looking car is number 100 of the 101 V8 coupés produced at the world famous Newport Pagnell factory. This number is reflected in the cherished registration plate V100 AMV which is included in the sale. Also present are a V5C registration document, a fresh MoT test certificate and a history file containing five service invoices from the Aston Martin Works service department. This stunning example is a usable modern classic that can be enjoyed at a fraction of the original cost."
