EXTERIOR
Redefining the standard of the super saloon, the Aston Martin Rapide AMR combines luxury, performance and practicality in a rather exclusive package, as 1 of just 188 cars ever made. With its incredible factory specification this Rapide must be one of the finest to roll off the production line; finished in a stunning coat of Q Special Scintilla Silver the cars flowing form presents with effortless elegance, with the deep metallic flake offset perfectly by an optional China Grey stripe.

Furthering the impressive options, the AMR exterior carbon pack helps identify this Rapide as something special, with lashings of carbon spanning the front spoiler, bonnet intakes, wing mirrors, side intakes, side skirts, rear lights, rear spoiler and rear diffuser. Naturally a set of machined carbon fibre wing badges were also fitted to the car at a cost of nearly £1,300.

INTERIOR
Luxuriously appointed in a combination of black leather and alcantara, in keeping with the monochrome theme, the cabin of the Rapide is a delightful place to be. Contrasting Galena Silver stitching and a central stripes adorn the sports seats, including the individual rear buckets, whilst a Q special Argento Grey Stripe runs along the headlining to mirror that of the exterior. Breaking up the supple hide surfaces, contrasting carbon fibre details the doors, sills, centre console and vast central tunnel that separates passengers at the rear.

Of course being a modern Aston there is no shortage of tech; featuring premium Bang & Olufsen audio, sat-nav, cruise control and Bluetooth the AMR is the ideal tool to cover great distance in total comfort.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Fitted with Aston’s AM29 engine, the Rapide AMR was to be the companies last production car to feature a naturally aspirated V12 and so it needed to be something a little bit special. With an output of 595 bhp and 465 lbft of torque the AMR manages 0-60 in just 4.2 seconds and goes onto a top speed of 205mph, numbers which definitely seem more supercar than saloon.

Start the engine and the soulful sound of the V12 is a thunders through the air before settling into a gruff, purposeful idle. Unlike its turbocharged contemporaries every pop, bang and snarl feels natural and intoxicating as it edges toward the rev limiter.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Fitted to the Rapide are a set of 21″ matte finish alloys which present in perfect condition, free from any scuffs or signs of curbing the diamond turned faces provide a wonderful intricate detail while lifting the dark finish exterior. Tyres are a matching set of premium Michelin Pilot Super Sports with ample tread at each corner.

Concealed behind the spokes are the 6-pot front and 4-pot rear callipers, finished in tonal matte black and vast carbon ceramic discs, measuring 400mm at the front and 360mm the rear.

HISTORY FILE
Delivered by Aston Martin Mayfair on 10/01/19 this spectacular Rapide AMR is 1 of 188 produced and is believed to be 1 of just 47 cars left in the UK. Realising this would be the last N/A V12 Aston would ever produce the first owner set about carefully specifying the finest possible example, with the original purchase invoice outlining a list price of over £220k, nearly £40k of which amounts from optional extras including a plethora of Q Special additions. So pleased was the original owner with the car, he wrote a letter to Aston Martin thanking them for their hard work, to which he received a response from President and CEO Dr. Andrew Palmer which is also presented in the cars history file.

Servicing has been carried out by the supplying dealer, with the cars first service completed at 2,805 miles on 29/01/20 as shown in the original stamped service book. The balance of the manufacturer 3 year warranty also remains, valid until January 2022, and can be extended should the new owner wish to do so.
