"Launched at the Geneva Motor Show in 1993, the Ian Callum styled DB7 began production in 1994 at a new factory in Bloxham, Oxfordshire. It was engineered in conjunction with Tom Walkinshaw’s TWR group who built the new supercharged six-cylinder engine. In 1999, the new DB7 Vantage with a V12 engine was revealed. It didn’t just bring a new powertrain but more aggressive styling with a bigger front grille, new fog, side and indicator lights and imposing 18” wheels. The Vantage interior leather trim was cut and sewn at a special trim shop at Newport Pagnell where the carpet and wood veneers were also prepared. With the launch of the new V12 engine in the DB7 Vantage, production of the earlier straight-six DB7 ended in mid-1999.
Purchased by the vendor in August 2015, this Aston Martin DB7 Vantage presents very well; its dark blue coachwork complemented by the cream leather and walnut interior. During the current ownership, the DB7 has been serviced with specialists with 15 service stamps recorded in the service book, two new rear tyres and a replacement air-conditioning compressor. This Aston Martin comes with its UK V5 registration document, invoices and book pack that include the aforementioned service book as well as instruction manuals and, we are informed, it will arrive at the sale with a fresh MoT test certificate. There are further advantages of the optional heated seats and windscreen, touchtronic gearbox, with controls on the steering wheel and importantly, a complete tool kit. We are also informed that this Aston Martin sounds fabulous and completed, without fault, a trip around Montreuil sur Mer and Wimereux, France in July 2018. This is an attractive Aston Martin fitted with the fabulous V12 power plant and is ready to be enjoyed immediately."
