Description
1967 Aston Martin DB6 Vantage Volante
One of just 29 examples built of the DB6 Vantage Volante, complete with matching numbers and original optional equipment. Delivered new in March 1967 to its first owner in Leicestershire, UK, finished in Olive Green with Black hides and equipped with a ZF 5 speed manual transmission, Chrome wire wheels and 3 eared wheel spinners, a 3.73:1 limited slip rear axle, a detachable headrest to the passenger seat and significantly, Vantage specifications.
This highly original example of the most versatile of the 1960’s DB range, has an extensive and documented service history with Aston Martin in Newport Pagnell during it’s early life and thereafter, with agents Aston Martin agents Ian Mason Ltd in London and Harwoods of Chichester.
Now after 54 years and displaying just 55,974 miles, as supported by MoT certificates and service invoices from 1990 onward, this UK registered, rare DB6 Vantage Volante is an ideal basis for restoration, or at the very least, some level of recommissioning. Laid up and dry stored since 2019, with exception of having received a colour change some years ago, this rare Vantage Volante is both highly original, complete with matching numbers and retains its originally specified optional equipment.
Carefully inspected by our own heritage engineers, we would be delighted to report and comment on its current condition and discuss restoration or recommissioning options, to return this rare and desirable DB6 Vantage Volante, to a 1st in class condition.
Available for viewing and inspection now at our Hertfordshire showrooms.
