The current owner purchased this DB4 in 1978 from a friend who had only recently bought the car from a restorer. The latter had discovered the Aston in 'barn find' condition and undertaken only essential work to get it into roadworthy condition for sale. From new the DB4 had Goodwood Green paintwork (slightly darker than British Racing Green) with beige leather seats and green carpets. Prior to purchase, the seats had been replaced by a set in black leather as the originals had perished while languishing in the barn, and the paintwork had been changed to British Racing Green.
