The team Arrows, whose name was a clever composition, an acronym of the initials of its founders, was born from a split from within the Shadow team. After it stunning debut in 1978, the team dropped down the rankings for a few years before experiencing a first revival in 1988 with the arrival of Ross Brawn, Ferrari's future technical director. In 1994, Jackie Oliver (the "o" of Arrows) took over the team. The new FA 15 was designed by the famous engineer Alan Jenkins. It was now powered by a Cosworth V8 and the driver duo was made up of Christian Fittipaldi (Emerson's nephew) and Gianni Morbidelli, the former Ferrari test driver. It was the latter who drove the car that we are offering.
The frame is made of carbon fiber. A semi-automatic X-Trac six speed gearbox is mated to the engine, and the brakes are obviously in carbon. After having started the season with a sixth position in the qualifying preliminary in the opening round at Brazil, Morbidelli suffers from recurring gearbox problems. His achievements included a sixth place at the Belgian Grand Prix and a fifth in Germany.
It is a modern single seater, with a reliable and easily usable Cosworth V8.
