Description

1964 APAL Porsche
One of only 8 cars built
Lighter, faster and rarer than a Porsche 356
FIA HTP until 2027
In mint and race ready condition
New engine gearbox with Dyno time only

Legendary Belgian Engineer, Designer and Entrepreneur Edmond Pery of APAL (Application Polyester Armé de Liege) built around 150 APAL Coupes of which only 25 had a Porsche 356 Engine Gearbox, suspension and brakes. Out of those 25 now very rare APAL Porsche Coupes only 8 were built as a lightweight competition car with Porsche SC mechanics and brakes on all 4 corners.

In 2011 one of these 8 cars was discovered in the USA and confirmed by Edmond Pery himself as one of the original competition APAL Porsche cars. A comprehensive restoration and preparation as FIA spec. historic racecar was performed by Tazman Motorsport of The Netherlands and was complemented with an FIA HTP in 2017.

Since then, the car has performed in the Dutch Historic Championship for pre ’65 GT’s and Touring
cars. Recently the engine was rebuilt and upgraded to a very strong and relaible 132 HP and 182 Nm.

Some highlights:
- Ultra light bodywork to the FIA legal 635 Kgs
- Porsche 356 SC engine, gearbox, suspension and disc brakes.
- Massive file with Period APAL information
- Confirmation letter by Edmond Pery
- Valuation report
- New all steel 356C engine, dyno sheet and specification on request
- Rebuilt close ratio gearbox
- Absolutely race ready
