FOR SALE; Deep Blue // Black Interior // Kamm Tail

Right Hand Drive Converted, 5 Speed Transmission, Wood Steering Wheel, Period Philips 420 Radio Cassette Player.

The classic Alfa Romeo Spider lines look sensational here, made smarter with the deep blue paintwork on this example. The body on this Kamm tail presents well having had a partial body restoration in 2002 and currently shows in good order with only a few paint imperfections on closer inspection.

The polished bumpers, front and rear, present in excellent order with much of the exterior chrome work showing the same. The recognisable Alfa front grille sits proudly between the two front lights, their plastic headlight covers clean and clear.

The interior of the Alfa is typical classic car and laid our in pure style. The driving position is dominated by the deep dish three pronged wooden steering wheel that falls right to hand with the gearshift in well thought out proximity. Two large dials show only the necessary information in front of the driver (speed and revs) with 3 smaller chrome dials to the left showing oil pressure, temperature and fuel level. The interior is in good order showing only light wear and classic car patina. The seats are comfortable and supportive with carpets clean and tidy.

With a couple of dabs on the accelerator to prime the carbs, twist the key and the engine fires into life. Driving this Alfa the engine pulls strongly through the 5 speed gearbox accompanied with a lovely induction noise from the twin 40 carbs.

The car feels nice and agile through the bends and pulls up strongly through the all disc brake set up. Recent work has included a replacement clutch and a refresh of the cooling system to ensure it drives as good as it looks.

The Spider sits on 14″ original wheels which are in excellent condition. These are wrapped in a matching set of tyres with near on full tread all round.

This Alfa was first registered in the UK in 1981. Converted to RHD it enjoyed long term ownership from 1983 till 2004 and kept garaged during this time.

MOT records track its mileage from 1991 all the way through to the present day alongside invoicing for its body restoration in 2002 and further mechanical work to date.

Having been inspected in house we can confirm this wonderful spider is in good order and ready for a new owner to enjoy over the coming summer.
