- Rare and little known version of the Giulia
- One owner from 1979 to 2004
- An economical and family car

The oil crisis of 1970 left no unscathed, and certainly harmed the car manufacturers. To meet the rising oil prices, they worked on the fuel consumption aspect and the contributions focused on the technique of diesel by being less greedy than gasoline engines, other than the tax benefits of diesel fuel. Alfa Romeo turned to Perkins, a specialist in diesels, to equip the Giulia Super Nuova with a diesel powerplant. But then it was still the older generation of diesels, and high speed diesel engines were not yet widespread. The Perkins engine for the Giulia featured a displacement of 1760cc and developed only 55bhp, a simple engine with character more suitable for commercial vehicles, which made it difficult to expect stellar performances... It compensated for this rather debonair character with low fuel consumption and robustness, but buyers of Alfa Romeos were not very convinced and production was limited to just 6500 units.
The particular feature of the Giulia Diesel we present is that from 1979 to 2004, the car had only one owner before joining the garage of our collector. This history is a guarantee of careful maintenance, and the car comes with its original libretto.
Records indicate that this Alfa Romeo left the factory on March 17, 1977, and the car was sold on the 30th of the same month in Faenza, Ravenna, in Italy. The car retained its ivory colour from then, as well as the interior, which is in black imitation leatherette. The odometer indicates 51,958km. It represents an original, a very rare and little known version of the famous Giulia saloon.

The cars in this collection are all offered without contôle technique (MOT). New legislation prevents us from obtaining an MOT for a vehicle that is not registered in France.
