We have a splendid first series Alfa Romeo 1750 Spider. The first generation Alfa Romeo Spider is better known as the Alfa Romeo Duetto. Our car first saw the tarmac in 1968 and has already been fully restored and overhauled.

The bodywork is therefore in great shape and most certainly looks the part. It has nice and thin, correctly aligned panelwork. During the restoration a respray was included, leaving us with the excellent finish we see today. Naturally, our Duetto has a well-fitting hood in good condition.

As far as condition goes the story on the inside is no different. During the restoration new black carpets were fitted. The seats have red and black two-tone leather upholstery over new innards and are very comfortable as a result. The refurbished dashboard is colour coded with all instruments and controls in good working order. To complete the interior picture there is a wooden Nardi steering wheel and a matching wooden gear knob.

Mechanically there are no qualms at all. Looking at the extensive file we can see the engine has been recently overhauled with the rest of the mechanicals also in peak condition. The 1750 4-cylinder twin-cam roars with delight and is attached to a well working, overhauled manual 5-speed gearbox. The car drives really well thanks to the brakes and suspension all being in perfect order.

We are happy to present this car inclusive of its extensive file in the certain knowledge all it needs is the occasional full tank of fuel. In short, this is one fantastic Alfa Romeo Duetto in ready to go condition.
