Description
"This car can be viewed in person from 14th to 18th July 2020 at our the auction site, Windsorview Lakes, Datchet, SL3 9HY
The Alfa Romeo Spider was produced from 1966 to 1993 and is widely regarded as a design classic. It remained in production for almost three decades with only minor aesthetic and mechanical changes. The final Alfa Romeo Spider - and the last rear wheel drive vehicle produced before the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione debuted in May 2012- was produced in April 1993. The first presentation of the car, as a prototype, was at the Turin Motor Show in 1961; however, the continuing success of existing models and the economic challenges facing Italy at the time meant that the first pre-launch Spiders only began to emerge from the Pininfarina production line at the end of 1965. The 1300 and 2000 cars were modified in 1974 and 1975 respectively to include two small seats behind the front seats, becoming a 2+2.
This Alfa Romeo Spider was supplied by Alfa Romeo (UK) Ltd, London, NW2, registered on 2nd August 1975 and is a two-owner vehicle. All of the original handbooks and service books are present and correct and show the car has been regularly serviced. We are informed that KUU 920P drives well with no known faults. Repair documents show replaced brakes and bearings all round and oil seals coupled to a new brake master cylinder, new slave cylinder and upgraded bespoke HT leads. Supplied with a V5 registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until June 2021, this righthand drive 2000 Spider Veloce is a fabulous motorcar and, with the summer in full swing, is sure to create interest.
The health and safety of both our customers and team remains the utmost priority, we are therefore operating to Government guidelines throughout viewing and auction day."
