Abarth, founded by Carlo Abarth in 1949, is an Italian car manufacturer now owned by the Fiat Group. It has a strong competition history, and has also produced cars in association with Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Porsche and Simca. Relaunched in 2007, the company is now engaged in the production and marketing of sporting hatchbacks, based on those built by its parent company.
