Taurus was a bicycle factory founded in 1909, which in 1932 acquired MG a Modenese motorcycle factory and began producing vehicles with its own brand on the market.
Production concerned mainly single-cylinder 175 to 500 cc, with valves or overhead camshafts, some of which with torsion bar rear suspension.
In 1938, Taurus also produced a racing bike with double overhead camshafts, but it was never produced in series.
After the Second World War, Taurus oriented production on motorcycles and mopeds, in particular a 175 cc with overhead camshaft, a two-stroke 160 cc and a 250 cc with overhead valves.
Taurus is one of those Italian brands that produced motorcycles for only a few years and in "limited editions", mostly intended for a local clientele, but which have left an exceptional historical "heritage" for posterity.
It is assumed that the examples of Taurus motorcycles that have reached our days are about ten
