- An exceptional machine
- In superb condition
- With a sporting personality
- Produced by the former head of MV racing
Arturo Magni is an integral figure in the history of MV Agusta. A long time race director of the marque, he could not bring himself to abandon it when the manufacturer closed its competition department at the end of 1975. With his son Giovanni, he started marketing special parts, rims and engine and chain drive kits, as well as modified bikes, often on the basis of the America 750 motorcycles. As they corresponded to individual orders, Magni MVs are all different. Very accomplished, built by craftsmen with great care, they are extremely popular today because they bring the MV a sportier character. Recall that Domenico Agusta did not want his touring bikes to b too much like sports machine, hence the shaft drive...
The Magni MV that we present was purchased in 1994 to Mr Cocard, a collector of MVs of competition, based in Lyon who owned this bike since 1988 when it was registered 543 NA 69. After the purchase, the current owner entrusted the motorcycle to Peppino Minervi, a leading expert of f MV 750s, based in a village near the MV factory. Eager to use his bike on the road and without concerns, the owner asked Minervi to resume the electrical circuit, in order to have an effective lighting system and a powerful starter. The bike is a basic MV 750 America, but this machine has the 790cc engine. As produced by Magni MV, it also has a special frame, an aluminum tank and a chain drive, which makes it sportier than the "normal" MVs. It is equipped with a full fairing evoking the Grand Prix machines.
Although we do not know the number of Magni MVs produced, they are known to be particularly scarce. This bike is an exceptional opportunity to acquire a MV that is truly sporty, thanks to changes by one of the most eminent personality in the racing department of that marque.
