Description

Chassis number: VK11216
Engine number: VK30174
Power 72 hp at 7,000 rpm
5-speed gearbox
1 of the only 150 “Telaio Rosso” produced

In 1971 the Moto Guzzi racing department created a pre-series of 150 units destined for display in dealerships, for tests in specialized magazines and for private riders for endurance races. The serial numbers of these specimens ranged from 11111 to 11261.
The peculiarity of this pre-series was represented by the original chromium molybdenum frame painted in red, instead of the black steel frame of the series models. The choice of the red color for the frame was intended to highlight what was considered by the manufacturer, the most innovative part of the bike.
The "V7 Sport 750" Red frame was a whopping 7 cm. Lower than the production model (hence the dachshund nickname ...) with a power of 72 hp, 5-speed gearbox and gimbal transmission. Equipped with excellent road holding, it was able to reach speeds well above 200 km / h and cover 400 meters from a standing start in 13 seconds.
A very solidly built bike capable of satisfying even the most demanding of fans of the Moto Guzzi brand.
