This machine is the last one in an extremely small series of just three Great Danes which were redesigned and individualized by British Afzal Kahn.Under the name of A Kahn Design he is far more known for his individual after design and luxury modifications often performed on cars such as Range Rovers. But in this instance Afzal Kahn not only took up the challenge of putting his touch to a luxury motorcycle like the Great Dane - he also succeeded by giving it a new and more raw look without compromising its basic identity and character.The most obvious instrument in achieving this is the matte black look that has been run through almost the entire machine in a balanced use of both lacquer, black-anodised aluminum or even black-chromed details. But Kahn did not stop there as Kahn no. 3 is also equipped with a narrower front fork and a larger front wheel and even with another rear fender, different handle bars, a smaller speedometer and finally a sports exhaust. All together contributes to its fully-fledged raw look, which espite the apparant brutalism nevertheless appears composed and elegant way.The elegance is emphasized by the very few elements that break the black. Most notably the brake calipers that have been given a gold-plated gilding in real gold. It adds to the brutal look a fascinating element of devil-may-care and very appropriately one of the two sold Kahn-Great Danes sold to Monaco. No. 3 is the last chance to acquire a Kahn-Great Dane, and this very special machine will add a certain Monaco glamour to any item collection.
