The DL series was the evolution of the famous LI SX series designed by the famous coachbuilder Bertone. The main changes compared to the previous models were the sportier riding position, the reinforced crankshaft and the quadrangular front headlight. The Lambretta offered at auction is a DL nicknamed ‘Macchia Nera’ (Black Spot) due to the original sticker on the front shield and was the last Lambretta produced in the Milan factory, where 15,300 units were produced.
