I've owned this 1978 BMW R100S for over 6 years and ridden it about 5K miles. It was refurbished by the previous owner in 2011 with fresh paint, upgraded suspension and engine rebuild. The pistons, rings, and timing chain were replaced, and the cylinder heads modified for dual plugs about 10K miles ago. All the seals and gaskets were also replaced with original BMW parts. This R100S is offered with manuals, a factory tool kit, bag mounts, receipts for the rebuild, and a clean California title in the seller’s name. Originally finished in red, the exterior was changed as part of the refurbishment to Hellblau using the factory BMW color. The suspension has been upgraded with new springs and shocks from Progressive suspension. Weinmann wire-spoke wheels wear newer Bridgestone tires. Factory mounts for BMW side cases will be included, along with owners and shop manuals. The restoration is well documented with receipts and pictures.
