Description

2000 BMW F650 Dakar Touratech
Frame no. WB10172A8YZE33617
Engine no. 702292651EA

When BMW withdrew its works participation from the Dakar Rally, motorcycle accessories manufacturer Touratech stepped in. Five standard BMW F650GS were extensively modified by Touratech and then entered in the 2002 Dakar Rally, the toughest in the world, which in that year ran from Arras to Dakar via Madrid. Only two of the five F650GS bikes reached Dakar: riders Gilles Algay (F) and Michael Griep (D) finishing 26th and 29th respectively. The machine offered here is believed to be the one ridden by Michael Griep for Touratech team in the 2002 Paris-Dakar Rally.

This bike has been on static display since a number of years and is in need of recommissioning.
Please note this bike does not come with any registration document.
