UK Welcomes Ferrari 60 Relay

Three months into Ferrari’s 60th Anniversary relay and the marathon has reached the UK. Belfast was the starting point of the four-day British leg and it was from here that the fleet of V12 Ferraris set off to visit official dealers around Northern Ireland and mainland UK.

The team crossed to Stranraer, then headed to Graypaul Edinburgh. After a driver change-over, the tour continued down the east coast before arriving for a welcome reception at JCT 600 Leeds.

The following day saw the relay setting off early from Manchester, visiting Graypaul Nottingham, Stratstone Little Aston and then ending the day at another evening reception – this time hosted by Dick Lovett Cardiff, the only official Ferrari dealer serving Wales.

Along the way, dealerships are taking the opportunity to reward clients with the chance to drive a 599 GTB Fiorano, a 612 Scaglietti, or a Ferrari Approved V12 from recent times – such as the classic 575M or stylish 456. Ferrari owners from Northern Ireland, Scotland and the north of England are also joining the tour at various stages along the route.

Meanwhile, one of the 612 Scagliettis taking part is in police livery and will be driven by police officers from the various regional forces through which the 1500-mile trip from Belfast to London passes. All the officers are volunteers, supporting the tour in their free time.

The Ferrari 60 Relay started in Abu Dhabi on 29 January and will end in Maranello on 23 June.
