As a motorsport photographer, Le Mans is one of the most rewarding yet exhausting events to shoot, primarily because of the circuit’s vast size, but also the gruelling length of the famous race. This cheerful photographer looks to be taking a well-deserved break during the 1976 24 Hours, perhaps ringing his editor to debrief him on the afternoon’s action… or maybe ordering some cigarettes to see him through the night. His photos might stand the test of time, but we’re not sure his shirt will...
