MINI Baker Street and Bayswater: New London editions

With the Olympic Games this year, London is going to be the focus of international attention. MINI has been quick to take advantage of this fact by launching two new special editions named after well-known parts of the Capital – the MINI Baker Street and MINI Bayswater.

The elegant MINI Baker Street comes with dark, Rooftop Grey metallic paint, twin black bonnet stripes and 16-inch '6-Star' twin-spoke alloy wheels in high-gloss black. Inside are cloth/leather seats, air-conditioning, Bluetooth, and on-board computer, leather steering wheel and multi-coloured interior lighting package. The Baker Street is available in MINI One, One D, Cooper and Cooper D guise.

The MINI Bayswater, meanwhile, is a bit of a hot hatch: available in Cooper, Cooper D, Cooper S and Cooper SD models, and carrying Kite Blue metallic paint plus 17-inch alloy 'Sandblast' wheels boasting a high-gloss black finish with machined rim and spoke edges, there are blue and grey stripes on the bonnet to complete the sporting look. Certain interior features are bespoke to the special edition – for example, the punch leather seats come in Rocklike Anthracite and include side bolsters with a ‘metallic sheen’, along with blue and grey contrasting stitching.

And, of course, the One D and Cooper D models offer added appeal to London drivers with emissions of just 99g/km, making them London Congestion Charge exempt. The MINI Baker Street and MINI Bayswater go on sale on 1st March for a limited period in all MINI’s 100 global markets.
