Francophiles can now fly the Tricolour at 261mph thanks to Bugatti

Bugatti has just played its first card in this, its 110th year – meet the Chiron Sport ‘110 Ans Bugatti’, a gloriously gallic limited edition that pays brazen tribute to the country in which the marque was born…

Gloriously Gallic

It’s a big year for Bugatti. The Molsheim marque celebrates its 110th anniversary and we can all expect a few surprises throughout 2019. The first is this, the Chiron Sport ‘110 Ans Bugatti’, a 1,479bhp tribute to Bugatti’s French roots. It’s essentially a Chiron Sport painted in ‘Steel Blue’ with exposed carbon-fibre front and rear ends and plastered with the French tricolour. You can find the red-white-and-blue on the mirrors, fuel filler cap, and emblazoned across the underside of the airbrake. The theme continues inside, too, where the tricolour adorns the ‘Deep Blue’ headrests, steering wheel, and key chain. Don’t be disappointed the hear that the car is mechanically identical to the Chiron Sport – 1,500bhp, 1,180lbs ft of torque, and a 261mph top speed is almost certainly more than enough, especially compared to the very first car Ettore Bugatti built in 1909, the Type 10. Just 20 Chiron Sport ‘110 Ans Bugatti’ models will be built, priced at… well, if you have to ask. Onwards to Geneva!
