Call your bank manager – these are the most expensive cars in the Paris auctions

From the multitude of cars poised to cross the block next weekend, here are 10 heavyweights that are set to illuminate the City of Lights with dazzling figures to match their mile-deep paint and mirror-like chrome…

From this esteemed gathering of seven-figure showstoppers, precious prototypes top the listings. Artcurial’s headline offering, the 1967 Ferrari Dino Berlinetta Speciale Prototype, is estimated between four- and eight-million euros, while the 1970 Porsche 917/10 prototype from RM Sotheby’s, the first Porsche 917 Can Am Spyder, is estimated between 4.6m and 5.5m euros. Of course, should you fancy something a little more attainable, there is a choice of 1960s supercar royalty, from a glorious green 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB (1.8–2.2m euros) to a gold-standard 1972 Lamborghini Miura SV (2.2–2.6m euros). There is also something for those with a pre-War penchant — the 1934 Alfa Romeo Tipo B P3, which can be yours for an estimated 3.8–5m euros. Below are the 10 crème-de-la-crème offerings from the auctions for your delectation, but don’t spend too long perusing or you may find your bank’s telephone is engaged…
