Brooklands Autumn Italian Car Day - October 3rd 2004

The annual Brooklands Autumn Italian Car Day is always a heady spectacle of Italian metal, enjoying a late chance to be out and about before winter closes in. On Sunday October 3rd, at the Brooklands Museum in Surrey, this autumn celebration will offer a huge variety of classic, historic and current cars including Ferraris, Maseratis, Lamborghinis and De Tomasos, plus Alfa Romeos, Lancias and Fiats. Examples of the more obscure marques are also expected to join the throng, such as Abarth, Siata, OM, Autobianchi and Giannini.

More than a thousand Italian cars of all types will be on display around the Brooklands grounds, with plenty of non-competitive hillclimb action as selected cars are run up the Brooklands Test Hill.

If you drive an Italian car yourself – modern or historic – bring it out for a last bask in autumn weather before it’s sent to lurk in the garage for the cold, dark months. All drivers of Italian cars will be be invited to add their vehicle to the 1,000-plus cars on display in the grounds: but you don’t have to drive an Italian car to enjoy the event – there’s free parking for everyone.

Come and take part in the action, display your car, or just watch, enjoy, and soak up the history of the magnificent Brooklands Museum. Gates open from 9.30am; come early to avoid the queues.

Entry is £9 per adult, £8 for senior citizens and £5 for children, payable at the main entrance on the day (no advance booking). The entry price includes admission both to the Italian Car event and the Brooklands Museum itself.
