There are three regional auctions in the early part of April which frequently turn up up some gems for the determined collector.

First is the Cheffins auction on Saturday 6th April at Godmanchester, Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire. Further details are available from Cheffins on 01223 358731 or see www.cheffins.co.uk

Then on Monday 8th April, BCA is holding the first of three sales for collectors in the South-West of England, at the Bridgwater Auction Centre in Somerset. Among the entries is a fully-restored 1933 Pierce-Arrow 836 with two-door Club Brougham coachwork, carrying an estimate of £30,000. Last but by no means least is the H &H auction on 10th April, at their usual venue of the Pavilion in Buxton, Derbyshire. This sale offers an ex-works Austin-Healey 3000 BJ7 Sports with full history, at an estimate of £26,000 – 30,000, a while other entries include a 1988 Ferrari 412i Coupe, a Lotus Elan S4 drophead and a 1954 Swallow Doretti.
